17th August 2025 A Sunday morning is one of the only times of the week when you are able to travel on classic 1990s Class 158 with GWR in daylight. The Class 158 is a rare passenger unit at Taunton these days, only operating late at night and on limited services on a Sunday. The first train north on a Sunday morning is formed of two GWR Class 158s and by the time this train reaches Bristol it will be full to the brim with passengers. On Sunday 17th August 2025 No.158745 and No.158767 arrive into Taunton operating 2U09 07:59 Exeter St Davids - Cardiff Central. After stopping at Taunton the four-car set then calls at all stations to Bristol Temple Meads.
