6th April 2024 The popular and unique Hastings DEMU passed Taunton on the 6th April 2024 operating far from its normal thumping ground. Known as 'Thumpers' due to the noise they make, the unit passes Norton Fitzwarren on the 6th April 2024 operating 1Z14 06:30 Hastings - Exeter Central. 6th April 2024 Saturday 6th April 2024 saw the return of the preserved Hastings DEMU to the Taunton area when it passed through with ‘The Cogload Climber’ charter, the 1Z14 06:30 Hastings to Exeter Central. The Class 201 is captured at Whiteball with DMBS No. 60118 'Tunbridge Wells' leading while No. 60116 'St Leonards' with 60119 tucked inside are working the rear.
