19th October 2023 The rare 14 coach formation of No.800007 and No.802114 was captured at Whiteball on the 19th October 2023. The pair operating as 5Z74 15:16 Newton Abbot - Stoke Gifford. No.802114 was being recovered from Newton Abbot having spent 42 hours at the station from Tuesday evening while being hit by waves on the sea wall section between Dawlish and Teignmouth while working the 18:03 London Paddington - Penzance service. After failing at Teignmouth it managed to limp to Newton Abbot on one engine where it was stabled in Platform 1. The journey back to Stoke Gifford was a slow embarrassing one with the 14 car formation evening suffering the indignity of being routed into Tiverton Loop to be passed by a freight train.
