30th April 2013 While the residents of Taunton sleep in their beds (well some of them!) Network Rail are often out repairing the railway infrastructure and operating track recording trains. After midnight on the 30th April 2013 former EWS Class 37 No.37402 is pictured in Platform 3 at Taunton on the rear of as track recording train. The service operated as 3Z08 18:36 Tyseley - Exeter Riverside. The test train was formed of DBSO No.9703 leading with test coaches 999602, 999626, and No.37402 providing power from the rear.
