9th July 2022 Large-logo Class 47 No. 47593 'Galloway Princess' passes the colourful willow herb at Bathpool on Saturday 9th July 2022 operating in top and tail formation with No. 47810 'Crewe Diesel Depot'. The pair were hauling the diesel leg of Saphos Trains 1Z60 06:40 High Wycombe - Kingswear 'English Riviera Express'. Upon arrival onto the relief lines adjacent to Fairwater Yard the lead Class 47 was removed and replaced with steam locomotive No. 70000 'Britannia' for the run to Devon. (Photo: Brian Garrett)
