8th July 1984 BR Blue Class 20's No.20184 and No.20169 on the 8th July 1984 taking a rare diversion while returning The Devonshire Dart to Bristol Temple Meads. The 1Z38 13:45 Bere Alston - Bristol Temple Meads rolls onto the Taunton 'avoider' at 40 Steps to pass through to Taunton East Junction.
