West Coast Railways Class 57 No. 57601 'Windsor Castle' hauls The Northern Belle south through Wellington running 160 minutes late on Sunday 5th September 2021. The 1Z42 09:29 Birmingham International - Paignton ran into issues at Cheltenham unable to release the brakes on the train with No. 57314 'Conwy Castle' leading. After blocking the mainline for 76 minutes the train was moved into Cheltenham Landsdown Loop. After another attempt to move the train went into Gloucester to change direction. With No. 57314 'Conwy Castle' isolated at the back of the train No. 57601 'Windsor Castle' completed the rest of the journey arriving into Paignton at 15:59 some 148 minutes late.

Running 168 minutes behind schedule due to brake issues with No. 57314 'Conwy Castle' (at the rear of the train in this image). No. 57601 'Windsor Castle' passes Norton Fitzwarren on Sunday 5th September 2021 operating 1Z42 09:29 Birmingham International - Paignton hauling a Northern Belle dining excursion. Due to the late running passengers were provided with just 23 minutes in Paignton before having to re-join the train and return to Birmingham.
