17th April 2021 A very unique vent took place on Saturday 17th April 2021 with a convoy of locomotives originating from Westbury. GWR IETs No. 802018 'Jeremy Doyle/ Preston de Mendonca' and No. 802011 'Joshua Reynolds / Capt Robert Falcon Scott ' speed north operating 1A80 08:15 Penzance - London Paddington service a convoy of locomotives wait to reverse at Cogload Junction. 0F59 09:13 Westbury - Leeds via Taunton lead by No. 59102 'Village of Chantry' with No. 59002 'Alan J Day' No. 66501 'Japan 2001' and No.66606. The loco convoy was running 111 minutes late having visited Westbury on route. The four locomotives made the vary rare move of reversal at Cogload Junction to head north, rather than the traditional method of going via Taunton Station. (Photo: Brian Garrett)
