The popular Class 52 Western No. D1015 'Western Champion' returned to Somerset on the 6th September 2014 hauling a GBRf Staff Charter from Chester to Bishops Lydeard, however, because of an operational problem, the tour had to be started late from Crewe. No. D1015 'Western Champion' is seen storming through Creech St Michael having made up 59 minutes between Crewe and Taunton, and was running just three minutes late at this point. while operating 1Z48 07:50 Crewe - Minehead.

The popular Western Class locomotive No. D1015 'Western Champion' is pictured paused at Taunton Station on the 6th of September 2014 operating 1Z48 07:50 Crewe - Minehead. The charter was a GBRf organized 'staff special' The charter was due to start from Chester but due to operational difficulties started at Crewe, but did make it back to Chester that evening.
