EWS livery really suited the Class 47. During 2002 / 2003 EWS set about life extension overhauls for some Class members for use on Railtours and Chrarter work. As a result many were given a complete repaint. EWS livery on No.47790 was complimented by the fitting of snow ploughs to the locomotive. It's seen here on the 24th August 2003 in Platform 1 at Taunton between railtour duties. After a period out of use in 2004, the loco then moved to Direct Rail Services, and then onto Locomotive Services Ltd.
