Memories - 2005

Published on 1st May 2005

Our latest memories gallery looks back 15 years to 2005 and features a very different railway scene in the Taunton area.

Wessex Trains were operating local services with First Great Western operating services between London and the Westcountry. English Welsh and Scottish Railway (EWS) were very much in control of the southwest freight scene. Cascaded stock from other operators was also prevalent in the area, bringing some variation to the normal colours which could be captured. We hope you enjoy this look back featuring some of the railway operations from the time.
