The 1C98 Wessex Trains service in 2002 often turned up some colourful combinations as the service was used as a means to transfer units to Exeter. On the 24th June 2002, No.153382 leads No.150238 (in Regional Railways Livery) and No.150370 south through Cogload Junction at around 19:00 with a 1C98 Cardiff Central - Exeter St Davids service.

28th May 2002
The weekday evening Cardiff - Taunton service was always a train to keep an eye on with regards to combinations as it was used by Wessex Trains to transfer units between Bristol and Exeter. On the 28th May 2002, Class 143 No.143621 leads Regional Railways liveried Class 150 No.150234 and Class 153 No.153380 through Cogload Junction with a Cardiff Central - Exeter St Davids service.
