The locomotive was painted by Virgin in conjunction with the British Transport Police and in a familiar style to the way British Rail painted a Class 37 for an advert in the 1980's. Becuase of Virgins routes the striking livery was seen all over the UK and had a surprising effect on joe public who saw it!
