Freightliner Class 66/5 No.66544 exits from Fairwater Yard on Thursday 2nd August 2018 operating the 6Y15 20:30 Fairwater Yard - Newton Abbot hauling the Network Rail HOBC set away from Taunton. Out of slight on the rear of the set was No.66517.

Freightliner Class 66 No. 66593 '3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway' hauls 6Y15 09:18 Fairwater Yard to East Somerset Junction with partner No. 66592 'Johnson Stevens Agencies' (out of sight), around the curve at Creech St Michael on Sunday 8th July 2018. The pair were transporting the Network Rail HOBC to an engineering blockade to carry out ballast cleaning work.

Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66592 'Johnson Stevens Agencies' leads the Network Rail HOBC eastbound through Creech St Michael on 30th June 2018 while hauling the 6Y15 10:26 Fairwater Yard - East Somerset Junction loaded HOBC set. Class 66/5 No. 66593 '3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway' was out of sight on the rear of this train, also providing power as the set headed to its weekend worksite on the Berks and Hants.

Freightliner Class 66/6 No.66615 leads the 6X04 1552 Fairwater Yard - Yate through Cogload Junction with No.66522 located on the rear of the train (also providing power). The Network Rail Track Renewals train can be seen loaded with new sleepers ready for a track relay in the Yate area.

Freightliner Class 66/5 No.66516 pushes back on the Fairwater Yard headshunt at the head of the 6X04 18:38 Fairwater Yard - Twyford track renewal train. (No.66587 was out of sight on the rear of the set) During the week the set has been departing in the evenings to Plymouth, but for Saturday work it departed north on the 2nd June 2018.

Freightliner Class 66 No.66550 descends from Whiteball Tunnel on Thursday 24th May 2018 hauling the 6X04 18:32 Fairwater Yard - Plymouth which conveyed the Network Rail TRT and a set of 5 Autoballasters. Out of sight in this show was No.66531.

Freigthliner Class 66/5 No.66550 powers away from Fairwater Yard while hauling the 6X04 18:32 Fairwater Yard - Plymouth. The train conveyed the Network Rail TRT (or TRS as Network Rail refer to it) with No.66531 also powering at the rear of the train. The track renewal train will be working south from Taunton for the next three months and will be gradually relaying track between Plymouth and Newton Abbot each week night. The set is seen passing Norton Fitzwarren in the evening sunshine.

Freightliner have been operating the Network Rail TRT south from Taunton during the past week. It's been many years since the TRT last headed south of Taunton for track renewals as recently it spends much of its time on the Great Western and Wales mainline. The set has first been working south to Plymouth before relaying track overnight between Plymouth and Newton Abbot. On Tuesday 15th May 2018 Freightliner Class 66 No.66568 leads the 6X04 18:32 Fairwater Yard - Plymouth with No.66550 trailing on the rear of the set.

Wearing a patchwork quilt of repairs on its front end, Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66526 'Driver Steve Dunn (George)' powers the 6X04 07:00 Kennington Junction - Fairwater Yard track renewal train away from a short pause at Cogload Junction on Sunday 22nd April 2018. Classmate No. 66533 'Hanjin Express/ Senator Express' was formed in Top and Tail formation on this diagram as is standard for operations to and from Fairwater Yard.
