Colas Rail Freight Class 66 No. 66849 'Wylam Dilly' decends from Whiteball Tunnel at Marlands on the 3rd November 2017 while working the 6Z66 09:00 Tavistock Junction - Tavistock Junction driver training run in preperation for Colas tamper drivers being trained to drive Class 66's.

Direct Rail Services transfered the first batch of stored Mk3 coaching stock from Laira Depot to Crewe on the 21st October 2017. The coaching stock is destined to become part of the loco hauled Transpennine passenger service in due course. Class 68 No. 68025 'Superb' 'Superb' exits from Whiteball Tunnel hauling the 5Z43 09:52 Laira - Crewe.

EWS liveried Class 66/0 No.66034 returned the long welded rail train back to Eastleigh from Cornwall on Sunday 23rd April 2017. The set had worked down to Truro during Saturday evening where it unloaded rails for future replacement. The empty train returned as the 6W98 08:00 Truro - Eastleigh Yard seen here at Marlands on the Sunday morning.
