GWR HST powercar No.43004 is now in ex-works GWR Green livery. On Monday 28th May 2018 No. 43004 passes the former site of Creech St Michael Halt station with the 1A70 06:47 Penzance to London Paddington. Attached to the rear of the set was the slightly now less than pristine INTERCITY liveried No. 43185 'Great Western'.

Saphos Trains Class 7 No.47501 was employed on route learning duties to Taunton over two days in May ahead of the companies first steam charters. The two-tone green Class 47 is pictured passing Creech St Michael on the 23rd May 2018 working the 0Z47 10:05 Bristol Barton Hill - Taunton light engine move.

Now operated by Saphos Trains, this ex-DRS Type 4 was engaged on route leaning duties on Tuesday 22nd May 2018, in connection with the first charter services to be operated by the company this summer. The Locomotive was built in July 1966 and now carries a version of its original BR Two Tone Green livery. This summer will see the locomotive tune 51 years old. Class 47 No.47501 (D1944) is pictured passing Creech St Michael working the return 0Z48 12:20 Taunton Goods Reception to Bristol Barton Hill operating via Westbury and Bath Spa on the first of two such runs planned for the 22nd & 23rd May 2018.

Network Rail MPV No.DR98908 and No.DR98958 pass Creech St Michael on Monday 16th April 2018 working the 6Z05 09:48 Kings Norton - St Blazey move in preparation for the annual weed-killing operations around the branch-lines and mainlines of the South West. The Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is specially adapted for these duties which were once carried out by a dedicated train top and tailed by a pair of Hunslet Barclay Class 20's.

Freightliner powerhaul liveried Class 66/4 (and former DRS Class 66) No.66420 hauls the 6Y54 10:06 Bristol East Junction - Westbury through Creech St Michael on Sunday 8th April 2018. The train was conveying spoil from the engineering worksite between Bristol and Bath, and being returned to Westbury via Taunton.

With weekend engineering work taking place between Bristol and Bath, a flurry of engineers trains visited Taunton on Sunday 8th April 2018 to change direction and head back to Westbury. Freightliner Class 66/5 No.66507 is pictured passing Creech St Michael while working the 6Y53 08:00 Bristol East Junction - Westbury via Taunton. The train (running a mere 184 minutes behind schedule) was formed of lifted track to be returned to Westbury for recycling.

With a dead pigeon having taking a direct hit on route from London, and lodged inside the horn grill No.43023 leads No.43025 west through Creech St Michael on Sunday 8th April 2018. The 1C77 09:57 London Paddington - Plymouth service was slowly building up speed having just been regulated at Cogload Junction for a passing freight on the approaches to Taunton.
