DB Cargo Class 67's No.67006 and No.67005 double head Her Majesty The Queen back to London after her visit to the decommissioning ceremony for HMS Ocean at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Plymouth on Tuesday 27th March 2018. The Royal Train (running as 1Z70 14:15 Plymouth - Wolverton) passes Freightliner Class 66 No.66504 at 40 Steps, Taunton.

Colas Rail Freight provided their two Class 67 locomotives as a substitute for the Network Rail New Measurement Train HST on Friday 15th December, while the HST was out of traffic for maintenance. No. 67023 'Sheila' 'Shelia' and No. 67027 'Charlotte' 'Charlotte' are pictured at Taunton with the 1Z19 18:57 Taunton - London Paddington test train.

Pathfinder Tours operated 'The Torbay and Darmouth Explorer' charter on the 30th September 2017. DB Cargo provided a Class 67 for the tip to Kingswear still wearing tatty EWS livery. No.67030 speeds across the Somerset Levels at Oath with the 1Z27 06:15 Reading to Kingswear.

Colas Rail Freight recently purchased two Class 67 locomotives from DB Cargo for used on test trains, the pair No. 67027 'Charlotte'+67023 have been painted into Colas Rail Freight colours and named They have also received the names 'Charlotte' and 'Stella'. On the 30th June 2017 the pair stood in for the Network Rail New Measurement Train HST set which was out of service for maintenance. Class 67 No. 67027 'Charlotte' is pictured here passing Creech St Michael working the 1Z18 15:46 Paignton to Taunton via Bristol Temple Meads leg of the track recording diagram.

During the 30th June 2017 Class 67's No. 67027 'Charlotte' and No. 67023 'Sheila' visited Penzance, Paignton, and Bristol Temple Meads passing through Taunton 3 times (once to change direction) before returning to London Paddington. No. 67023 'Sheila' 'Stella' leads the 1Z18 15:46 Paignton to Taunton via Bristol Temple Meads seen passing Norton Fitzwarren. Stock for the train was formed of Mk2a No.977969 Staff Coach, Mk2f No.977997 Radio Survey Coach RSC3, MK2f No.72631 Plain Line Pattern Recognition Coach PLPR1 and Mk1 No.975091 overhead line inspection coach.

UK Railtours passed through Taunton on 13th May 2017, hauled by DB Cargo (EWS liveried) Class 67 No.67024. The faded locomotive and coaching stock formed the 1Z14 06:41 Letchworth - Paignton 'The Torbay Flyer' formed of coaching stock 21269 3120 3066 1651 3098 3097 3119 1691 3068 3123 1832 4927 4946. The tour is seen passing 40 Steps, Taunton on route to the Devon Riviera.

With passengers having enjoyed the best the Devon Riviera can offer, UK Railtours whisked passengers back to Letchworth. The faded EWS liveried Class 67 No.67024 speeds the mixed rake of stock through Taunton hauling the 1Z15 17:40 from Paignton to Letchworth on the 13th May 2017.

Having spend the weekend in Cornwall the annual visit of the Bellmond British Pullman was brought to an end on Sunday 7th May 2017 with the two DB Cargo locomotives returning the prestigious dining train to London. Royal Locomotive No.67006 'Royal Sovereign' leads EWS liveried No.67022 north through Taunton working the 1Z33 12:25 Truro to London Victoria through 40 Steps, Taunton.

6th May 2017
The special charter season kicked off in style over the weekend of the 6th and 7th April with a weekend of double headed trains entering and exiting the South West. Friday 5th May saw passengers board the Bellmond British Pullman at London Victoria to be whisked into Cornwall for a weekend of opulent travel, dining, activities and accommodation. DB Cargo provided one standard EWS liveried Class 67 and one Royal Class 67 for the weekend trip away. During Saturday the pair provided a day trip to Bath from Penzance before returning passengers to London during Sunday afternoon. On Saturday 6th May 2017, the 1Z80 17:30 Bath Spa to Penzance 'Belmond British Pullman' passes westbound through Cogload Junction double-headed by EWS liveried Class 67 No.67022 & Royal Class 67 No.67006 'Royal Sovereign'.

The 2C67 08:00 First Great Western service Cardiff Central to Paignton approaches Taunton on 17th December 2009, the Mk2 coaching stock 'topped and tailed' by DB Shenker Class 67s No.67017 and No.67016, both with locomotives having gold painted buffers.

EWS Class 67 No.67019 speeds through Cogload Junction hauling the 1V33 15:58 Willesden - Plymouth loaded mail vans. The set started with 8 vans from Willesden but dropped four in Bristol for onward transit to Wales.

2nd March 2002
Taken on the 2nd March 2002, EWS Class 67 No.67021 hauls the Virgin Trains Cross Country 1M56 08:46 Penzance - Manchester Piccadilly through Cogload Junction. The booked Class 47/8 No.47817 had failed and was replaced by the Class 67 leaving the dead Class 47 on the rear of the train.
