Since the Exeter Riverside aggregate flow has been operated by Freightliner, the use of Class 59s has been very rare, with the company's own Class 66/6 locomotives being favored. On Monday 8th March recently repainted Genesee and Wyoming liveried Class 59/2 No.59203 on 7C28 15:42 Exeter Riverside - Whatley Quarry aggregate empties passing Silk Mills.

Hanson liveried Class 59/1 No. 59104 'Village of Great Elm' passes Norton Fitzwarren in the Autumn setting of Saturday 26th October 2019 hauling the 7C28 11:40 Exeter Riverside - Westbury aggregate empties having been unloaded in Exeter during the morning.

Hanson Aggregates livery Class 59/1 No. 59102 'Village of Chantry' passes slowly through the village of Creech St Michael on Saturday 5th October 2019 hauling the 7C28 11:41 Exeter Riverside - Westbury aggregate empties. The train was running slightly behind schedule owing to having been held for two GWR Passenger services to pass by at Tiverton Loop.

Aggregate Industries liveried Class 59/0 No. 59005 'Kenneth J Painter' passes Victory Crossing on Wednesday 21st August 2019 hauling the delayed 7C27 05:27 Westbury - Exeter Riverside loaded aggregate. The train normally passes Taunton at 06:30 in the monring but on this occasion was running 146 minutes late passing Taunton at 09:04.

Having departed Exeter Riverside at 11:08 running 76 minutes ahead of schedule, but then held at Taunton East Junction for 1hr 40 minutes, the late-running 6C28 12:24 Exeter Riverside - Westbury with No.59204 hauling the train passes Cogload Junction on Saturday 1st June 2019. The train was originally booked to operate to Whatley Quarry but later terminated at Westbury.

Still carrying DB Schenker branding Class 59/2 No.59205 passes West Lyng on Friday 31st May 2019 with the returning 6C28 13:44 Exeter Riverside to Whatley Quarry aggregate empties. The train had been held for some time in Tiverton Loop to allow faster passenger services to pass.

The train was originally booked to return to Whatley Quarry but later terminated at Westbury.

DB Cargo Class 59/2 No.59201 (complete with its brass bell leading) passes Norton Fitzwarren running 32 minutes late on the 13th April 2019 operating the 7C28 11:41 Exeter Riverside - Westbury aggregate empties. The locomotive had operated light engine to Exeter (the wagons having been left at the yard the previous day), this service was originally booked to operate through to Whatley Quarry but later terminated at Westbury running 57 minutes behind schedule.
